This hotel is a hidden gem located in a quiet alley off a small dirt road in a residential neighborhood. It is just a short walk away from the bustling night market, making it a convenient location for exploring. The staff at this hotel are incredibly friendly and helpful, always going above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. The rooms are kept clean and are beautifully decorated, with a touch of Moroccan charm. The quality of the beds and crisp white linen add an extra level of comfort. Another great aspect is that breakfast is included, offering a delicious start to the day.
Everything was perfect during my stay.

5 mins walking distance to the old market; best staff; perfect yard; interesting decoration.
firstly, it's very noisy in midnight and early morning because the dogs, roosters, tuktuks and a few cats, that's very ecological but...hard to fall asleep indeed.(maybe only in our room like this.) secondly, the cleaness could be improved a bit, even the environment is very nice, but the sheet and quilt are not clean which dirty spots can be seen easily and not so white as other hotels. thirdly, the bathroom is smelly from sewer when after shower. actually we love this hotel even it is not perfect, because the staff are very wonderful and friendly and the pool & flowers are very nice. certainly, if it could a little cheaper, that would be nicer.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel in Siem Reap. the value for money was excellent - reasonable prices for a comfortable stay. The location of the hotel was also great, within walking distance from the night market and nestled in a small alley surrounded by the neighborhood. The staff were attentive and provided excellent service, ensuring that all my needs were met. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, with very nice balconies offering a pleasant view. The beds were of outstanding quality, with crisp white linen for a comfortable night's sleep. The large bathroom had a touch of Morocco thrown in, adding to the overall charm of the room. Additionally, the breakfast included in the rate was fresh and satisfying, with ample portions.
Everything was okay during my stay at this hotel.

It had a cozy feeling to it. Friendly staff and pretty nice breakfast.
I expected the rooms to be a bit more spacious, given how they look in the official photos.

We found the staff to be very helpful and good to deal with. We also likes the fact that the staff left us to ourselves. A place to stay if you want to be left to yourself, but the staff are there if you need them.
Thought the room looked just a little tired.

Good location, good value, funky setting. Really part of the Cambodian town Owner just loves the place and it shows- very attentive and competent staff. I love the old ceiling fans and open doors to the balcony upstairs. Pool is a cool relief after a day of temple treks.
Cant be thrilled about that climb and descent from the Sandlewood .Dangerous in the dark. Air conditioning not great, but could have been just in my room. OK for me but some might want it cooler.

The Golden Banana is perfectly located in Siem Reap - a short walk from the markets, restaurants and bars - yet set in a quiet road away from it all. The staff are genuinely warm and friendly and will help make every detail of your stay just as you want it. Siem Reap has high-end hotels like the Raffles and Victoria but you'll feel isolated from the town and it's people. The Golden Banana strikes the right balance between comfort, service, location and contact with the town. A memorable experience!

I loved my recent stay at Rambutan Hotel & Resort. The pool area was fine with beautiful plants surrounding it. The staff was friendly and helped me arrange tours and transportation just like at the Golden Banana. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and I especially enjoyed the balcony overlooking the pool. I highly recommend this hotel for a great stay in Siem Reap.

The hotel is conveniently located, with just a short walk across the river to the main market area, where there are plenty of restaurants, cafes, and shops. It's also near the night market, which is a popular attraction for visitors. the staff provide excellent service with amenities like a refreshing pool. the rooms are comfortable, clean, and cozy, with en-suite hot water shower bathrooms. the breakfast is a satisfying start to the day, and there are lovely views of a tropical garden.

The Golden Banana is well located, only a 5 minute walk away from Siem Reap's main market and restaurants. It has a very nice pool, deep and cool -- a refreshing feature after the hours spent in the heat of Angkor.
Although the staff were all very friendly, they could do with a bit of training. One often felt that they were as much on holiday as the customers, chatting and chuckling while we waited for dry bathtowels...

+close to downtown but not too far+good staff and good food+take the standard room more than enough no need 2 rooms, you will not use it.
-if you look for a spacious place, not here , it is more a private place but no garden - not so much space even if most of the time you will be out.
